“I wonder if the fullness of being can only begin by outside observation. If the nature of being is to be lost in its fullness, but in that state, it can’t be seen for its truth, you must stand outside to see the truth and then step back in, so you’re not consumed by the illusion of reality. Only by a nonjudgmental and objective observation can you appreciate the folly of emotion and pain. Only by not ascribing concepts like good and bad or right and wrong can you see the thing for its beauty. If I’m in the lake I can’t see the water. I must go ashore to appreciate the wholeness of the experience."
